Mercy Aigbe changes to Islam, fans react to Hajia Meenah new name

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has revealed her new name following her conversion to Islam.

Mercy made this known in a video at a Ramadan event she hosted with her husband, Kazeem Adeoti.

She urged Nigerians to address her as Hajia Meenah Mercy Adeoti.

“My new name is Hajia Meenah Mercy Adeoti. Meenah with an h.”

The actress married Mr Adeoti in 2022 and was accused of extramarital affair while she was married to her ex, Lanre Gentry.

But Mercy denied the allegation, saying she has constantly been lied against despite explaining her situation and telling her side of the story.

The news of Mercy’s conversion to Islam,  has been greeted with mixed reactions from social media users.
