Man arrested after sneaking into female varsity hostel in Kano
A 35-year-old man, identified as Muhammad Munzali, was apprehended for illicitly entering a female hostel at Skyline University in Kano, as reported by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command.
According to Mr Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer of NSCDC, the arrest was made by operatives assigned to safeguard critical national assets on March 10, when Munzali was discovered attempting to gain entry into the female hostel located in Nassarawa GRA, Kano.
Idris-Abdullahi disclosed that Munzali had disguised himself as a woman and was found in possession of local charms concealed on his person.
The suspect is slated to face legal charges in court, as confirmed by the NSCDC.
Mr. Mohammed Lawal-Falala, the Commandant of NSCDC in Kano, emphasized the importance of heightened vigilance among officers and personnel.
He urged them to bolster surveillance efforts both within and around educational institutions, public and private alike, to safeguard students from potential criminal threats.
