Leicester City confirms Kelechi Iheanacho’s departure after seven years

English Premier League (EPL) side Leicester City have confirmed the exit of Nigerian international player, Kelechi Iheanacho, after he has spent seven years at the club.

In a post shared on its X handle (formerly Twitter) at the weekend, the club stated that Kelechi is leaving the club alongside Marc Albrighton and Dennis Praet.

It stated: ‘‘Marc Albrighton, Kelechi Iheanacho and Dennis Praet will leave the Foxes this summer.’’

However, PAOK Salonika, the new Turkish League champions, are said to be considering a summer move for Iheanacho.

PAOK is interested in the 27-year-old player, who has also been linked with Aston Villa in the English Premier League.

This update comes weeks after Dean Jones predicted that Kelechi Iheanacho would leave Leicester City at the end of the season.

Jones recently predicted that Iheanacho will likely leave Leicester to join Turkish side Trabzonspor.

Trabzonspor is pursuing him for next season, and PAOK is also interested in the 27-year-old player, who has been linked with Aston Villa in the English Premier League.
