Legal battle begins as AA withdraws petition against Tinubu

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal begin its sitting today in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, as Action Alliance(AA), a party withdrew its petition against the President-elect, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

The five man panel of justices of the Court of Appeal that constitute the tribunal are Justice Haruna Tsammani; Justice Stephen Adah, Justice Misitura Bolaji-Yusuf, Justice Boloukuoromo Ugoh, and Justice Abba Mohammed.

The withdrawal of the AA petition may not be unconnected with the fact that it was a pre- election petition. However, no reason was given for the withdrawal.
