Lawmakers grant 50 special advisers approval for Gov Fintiri

At least 50 special advisers have been granted by the Adamawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday for Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

The approval was in response to a letter by Governor Fintiri requesting the Assembly for approval to appoint the advisers.

The approval of the Assembly, given at Tuesday’s session, has been described as a breath of life into the new government of returning Ahmadu Fintiri, whose only appointee so far is a press secretary.

Fintiri has been laying low since the announcement of Mr Humwashi Wonosikou as press secretary during his inauguration dinner on May 29.

Fintiri’s inactivity had been blamed on the loss of his cousin, Malama Laraba Mamman who had died in a road crash while travelling to his inauguration.
