LASG investigating collapsed building in Banana Island
The Lagos State Government is investigating the collapse of an unapproved 7-floor building under construction in Banana Island, Lagos State, on Tuesday.

Deputy Director, Public Affairs, in state Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, stated that few who sustained injuries are being treated.
It said there is no fatality, adding that “this unfortunate incident happened while casting was being done.”
The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Engr. Tayo Bamgbose-Martins was said to have been immediately on site to assess the situation and flag- off investigation.
“We ask members of the public to remain calm and expect further information from the ministry as we know more,” the statement said.
