LaLiga: Rodrygo overshadowed by Vinicius, Mbappe, Arsenal told to sign Real Madrid star
Real Madrid forward, Rodrygo is already overshadowed by Kayline Mbappe and Vinicius Junior at Real Madrid, former Chelsea star, Emmanuel Petit, said.
Consequently, he said either Arsenal or Chelsea, two leading English Premiership League clubs, should go ahead and sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid.
According to him, the Brazilian is being underrated at Real Madrid and does not get the limelight he deserves at Santiago Bernabeu.
He also said the Brazil International is being overshadowed by the other top players at the club.
He stressed that Mikel Arteta’s side could lure the attacker to the Emirates because he does not get the credit due to him like Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr.
He saud, “He has so much quality and I have always said he will be such a great player for them. If they cannot sign Williams, Arsenal need to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid as he’s so underrated and gets overshadowed by Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr,” he told Genting Casino.
“He reminds me a bit of Sylvain Wiltord when I was at Arsenal. I really think he would be a star at the Emirates and be an amazing player who can play across all three positions across the front line.
“This guy is so underrated and perhaps he feels like he is being overshadowed at Real Madrid. In any case, he could be an absolute superstar for Arsenal and I rate him very much. He scores goals, gives assists and gives great energy on the pitch.”
Rodrygo has scored three goals and provided two assists in 12 games for Real Madrid across competitions this season and has started eight games.
