Katsina gets 14 new Special Advisers, nine heads of agencies

Fourteen special advisers and nine heads of agencies and parastatals have been appointed in Katsina State.

A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, on Tuesday, said Governor Dikko Umaru Radda approved the appointments with immediate effect.

The special advisers are Hon. Abubakar Ahmadi Tsanni, sports and social development; Hon. Mannir Mu’azu Ruma, market development; Yusuf Ibrahim, community security watch; and Hon. Nasidi Mohammed Danladi, community development.

Others are Hon. Shafi’u Abdu Duwan, party liaison; Hon. Ya’u Ahmad, employment promotion; and Hon. Ya’u Umar Gojo-Gojo, political affairs; Hon. Shehu Abdu Daura, drugs and narcotics; Nura Saleh Katsayal, primary education; Hon. Murtala Isah Kankara, National Assembly matters; and Hon. Mustapha Mahmud, human capital development.

The statement further named Hon. Nasiru Lawal Aminu as special adviser on infrastructure development; Hon. Suleiman Yusuf Jibia, livestock and grazing and Hon. Aminu Lawal as special adviser on youth development.

The statement said Prof. Sani Abubakar Mashi is the new Chairman, Board of Internal Revenue; Mr. Surajo Yazid Abukur, Managing Director, Katsina State Roads Maintenance Agency; Mr. Abubakar Matazu, General Manager, Rural Electrification Board; Haruna Musa Rigoji, General Manager, Katsina State Transport Authority and Ibrahim Tukur Jikamshi, Director General, Katsina State Investment Promotion Agency.

Others are Hon. Umar Mammada, who will supervise the drugs and medical supplies agency as its executive secretary; Dr. Sabiu Liadi is the General Manager, Katsina State Hospital Services Management Board.

“While Dr. Abdurrahim Muhammad Maaji is the chief physician to the governor and Garba Dahiru Bidawa, who is appointed as a member of the Katsina State Electoral Commission, will have to wait for his confirmation by the state House of Assembly,” it added.
