Juventus to sign Jean Clair-Todibo to replace Dean Huijsen

Italian Serie A side Juventus FC are signing Nice defender, Jean Clair-Todibo, to replace Dean Huijsen, who is set to complete a move to EPL side, Bournemouth.

Huijsen is set to complete his medicals at Bournemouth with documents reviewed to follow. Juventus are expected to receive a €15m fixed fee, €3m add-ons plus a sell-on clause in an €18m package for the player born in the Netherlands.

Huijsen’s move paves the way for Juventus to sign Todibo, eager to reunite with Thuram, who completed a medical two weeks ago, per La Gazzetta dello Sport.

After failing to sign talented Italy and Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori, who is reportedly heading to Arsenal, the Bianconeri are now hoping to finalize a deal for Todibo.

Manchester United hoped to sign the talented French defender from Ligue 1 side Nice but the deal is currently off due to UEFA rules.

Todibo, 24, was a long-time target for the Red Devils, but they may not sign him due to a recent directive restricting player exchanges between clubs with dual ownership.

Reports say talks were advanced with all parties keen for months but Nice and Man Utd with the same ownership playing the same European competition next season means no green light.

Manchester United has been informed that UEFA will obstruct the sale due to the ownership arrangement between the teams, thus ending Todibo’s hopes of playing in the English Premier League.
