Heavy security swells tribunal as judgement in Adebutu’s petition against Abiodun is today
As the Ogun Governorship Election Petition Tribunal is set to deliver its judgement in Isabo area of the state capital, Abeokuta, there has been heavy security presence at the venue.
The court is delivering judgement in the petition of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu against the victory of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The security operatives comprised of the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS); the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Amotekun corps.
Journalists and loyalists of Adebutu and Abiodun were subjected to scrutiny before gaining access to the courtroom.
At the time of filing this report, the Minister of State for Environment and Ecological Management, Dr. Iziaq Kunle Salako; the Senator representing Ogun West, Olamilekan Adeola were already in court.
The three man panel chaired by Justice Hamidu Kanaza will deliver the judgement by 9.00 am.
