Gov. Alia dissolves cabinet, appoints new Chief of Staff

The Benue State Executive Council has been dissolved.

The state Governor, Rev. Father Hyacinth Alia left only the office of the Chief of Staff, which will now being occupied by former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Moses Atagher.

Indeed, Atagher, the new Chief of Staff, is a seasoned administrator and former acting Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank.

According to the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Terso Kula, the dissolution affects only the commissioners.

Governor Alia, who thanked the outgoing commissioners for their two years of service, urged those who may not be reappointed to remain in the party and continue to support the administration.

Barr. Bemsen Mnyim, who spoke on behalf of the former commissioners, thanked the governor for the opportunity to serve, describing the experience as a learning process.

The former commissioners are to hand over to the permanent secretaries of their respective ministries.
