Fraud: Tinubu suspends MD, three other directors of Rural Electrification Agency
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Rural Electrification Agency Agency, REA, Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, and three Executive Directors of the agency have been suspended over allegation of fraud.
The suspension takes immediate effect.
President Tinubu, who gave the directive after a thorough investigation into a
fraudulent spending totaling more than N1.2 billion in the last two years involving the four top suspended government officials, said it was with immediate effect.
The suspended three Executive Directors of the Agency are:
(1) Olaniyi Alaba Netufo — Executive Director, Corporate Services
(2) Barka Sajou — Executive Director, Technical Services
(3) Sa’adatu Balgore — Executive Director, Rural Electrification Fund (REF)
