Fiery Anambra native doctor kidnapped, two aides shot dead
Kidnappers have abducted famous Anambra State-based native doctor and Oba indigene of Idemili North Local Government Area, Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki, killing two of his aides.
Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki was said to have been abducted from his hotel in Oba community last night.
The native doctor, who is regarded to be among the most potent witch-doctor in the state, was kidnapped with so much ease in his Triple O Hotel, along with two of his personal aides who were shot dead.
Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki is also regarded as the richest witch-doctor in Anambra State.
He had in 2022 built and launched two hotels, regarded as the biggest in Oba, where popular business man, Obinna Iyiegbu alias Obi Cubana, hails from.
A source said: “Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki na Oba had been kidnapped last night in his hotel.
“Two of his security men were shot dead. Where are Nwa Ocha and Odeshi (his charms)?”
The ease of his abduction is said to have put a question mark on his rumoured spiritual powers, this is as many people were reportedly flocked to his mansion in Oba for anti-bullet charms and money rituals, especially as he was said to boasted of the efficacy of his charms.
The state Police spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident, said it happened around 11:30p.m. last night.
“The state Police Commissioner, Aderemi Adeoye, has ordered that police operatives go after his abductors and ensure his release,” he stated.
There are, however, reports that he was released yesterday at mid-day, but police authorities denied any such report, saying information about his release was not available to them.
