FG commends NCC EVC Maida for improved telecom service delivery
The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Dr Aminu Maida, has been commended by the Federal Government for improved telecom services across the country.
Maida had, on assumption of duty last year, promised stakeholders that he would largely focus on enhancing quality service delivery and consumer experience in line with global standards.
The Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, gave the commendation during a recent meeting with Maida and other key officials of the NCC in Abuja.
Tijani said the NCC boss had lived up to this promise by displaying exceptional leadership qualities, which have in turn, had facilitated the promotion of consumer-centric initiatives by the commission.
“I am impressed by the strategic approach taken by Dr. Maida and the NCC team to elevate telecom services from ‘Quality of Service’ to an improved ‘Quality of Experience’.
“The Commission’s focus on promoting consumer interests aligns with the government’s Strategic Blueprint to improve the telecom sector’s contribution to the economy.
“These steps from the NCC reassure me that we are heading in the right direction as we look to improve the sector and its impact on our daily lives,” the minister said.
