The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of N2.094 trillion from the October 2025 federation revenue to the three tiers of government.
The allocation was finalized at the committee’s November meeting held in Abuja.
The N2.094 trillion shared revenue was drawn from the following sources: Distributable Statutory Revenue: N1.376 trillion; Value Added Tax (VAT) Revenue: N670.303 billion;l Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL): N47.870 billion
According to a communiqué from the FAAC, the total gross revenue available in October 2025 was significantly higher at N2.934 trillion. From this amount, several deductions were made:Cost of Collection: N115.278 billion; Transfers, Interventions, Refunds, and Savings: N724.603 billion.
This left the final N2.094 trillion as the net distributable amount.
The report noted that gross statutory revenue for October was N2.164 trillion, a slight increase from the N2.128 trillion recorded in September. However, VAT revenue saw a decline, dropping to N719.827 billion in October from N872.630 billion the previous month.
The N2.094 trillion was shared among the governments with Federal Government receiving N758.405 billion; State Governments receiving N689.120 billion; Local Governments receiving N505.803 billion; Derivation Revenue (13% of Mineral Revenue): N141.359 billion was shared with oil-producing states.
Furthermore, from the distributable statutory revenue of N1.376 trillion: Federal Government received N650.680 billion; and State Governments received N330.033 billion.
Dele Fashomi, seasoned journalist and communication teacher, is a holder of Master of Arts degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan in 1992/93.

Mr. Fashomi combines effectively the practice, research and teaching of communication. And to date, he has published two academic works in communication: Issues in Communication Technology and Policy (2010) and Economic and Social Issues in Advertising and PR (2013).
He had his first break in the Nigerian media in Concord Newspapers in 1990 and today, he has over two and half decades experience earned in several newspapers.
He has been part of many start-ups, such as The Republic (1987), The Comet (1999), The Anchor 2001 – 2002; Sun Newspapers (2003); Westerner newsmagazine (2005 – 2010) as Editor; National Life (2011) as Sunday Editor, and Newswatch Newspapers (2012- 2016) as Daily Editor.
Dele Fashomi is now the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Newstide247.com newspaper online, which he started in July 2015. He is also into biography writing, with many books in his trail, some of which he wrote alone and one he co- authored with his mentor, Mr Dare Babarinsa, entitled: Olabiyi Durojaiye – DARE TO BE DiFFERENT. He also guided and collaborated with Pa Olatunji Odusanya in writing his autobiography – AGAINST ALL ODDS. There are many other books in the works under his pen.
