FAAC Shares ₦2trn in July Revenue to FG, State, LGs

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of ₦2.001 trillion from the revenue generated in July 2025 to the three tiers of government.

The breakdown of the allocation, announced by Bawa Mokwa, Press Secretary to the Accountant General of the Federation, is: Federal Government – ₦735.081bn; States – ₦660.349bn; and LGs – ₦485.039bn.

The other is: Oil-Producing States (13% Derivation) –  ₦120.359bn.

The distributable revenue was drawn from four key sources, including Statutory Revenue: ₦1.282trn; Value Added Tax (VAT):₦640.610bn; Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL): ₦37.601bn; and Exchange Difference: ₦39.745bn.

Despite the significant disbursement, the communiqué noted a decline in gross revenue available in July, which stood at ₦3.836 trillion. This represents a decrease of ₦415.108bn compared to the ₦3.485trn recorded in June.

A bright spot in the revenue report was the VAT collection, which saw an increase to ₦687.940bn, up from ₦678.165bn in the previous month.
