FAAC: FG, States, LGs Share N1.818trn for June

The Federation Account Allocation Committee, FAAC, has shared N1.818 trillion for the June 2025 Federation Account Revenue to the Federal Government, State Governments, and Local Government Councils.

A statement by Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, OAGF, the allocation was finalized during the July 2025 Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting in Abuja.

The total distributable revenue of N1.818 trillion comprised:

– Statutory Revenue: N1.018 trillion

– Value Added Tax (VAT): N631.507 billion

– Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL): N29.165 billion

– Exchange Difference Revenue: N38.849 billion

– Non-Mineral Augmentation: N100 billion

A FAAC communiqué revealed that the gross revenue available in June 2025 was N4.232 trillion. After deductions (N162.786 billion for collection costs and N2.251 trillion for transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings), the net distributable amount was shared as follows:

– Federal Government: N645.383 billion

– State Governments: N607.417 billion

– Local Government Councils: N444.853 billion

– Derivation Revenue (13% to oil-producing states): N120.759 billion

Further beakdown of revenue sharing showed that Statutory Revenue, which was N1.018 trillion, was devoled as:

   – FG: N474.455 billion

   – States: N240.650 billion

   – LGs: N185.531 billion

   – Derivation: N118.256 billion

VAT Revenue, which was N631.507 billion, was:

   – FG: N94.726 billion

   – States: N315.754 billion

   – LGs: N221.027 billion

EMTL (N29.165 billion):

   – FG: N4.375 billion

   – States: N14.582 billion

   – LGs: N10.208 billion

Exchange Difference (N38.849 billion):

   – FG: N19.147 billion

   – States: N9.712 billion

   – LGs: N7.487 billion

   – Derivation: N2.503 billion

Augmentation (N100 billion):

   – FG: N52.680 billion

   – States: N26.720 billion

   – LGs: N20.600 billion

On revenue performance, gross statutory revenue for June 2025 rose to N3.485 trillion, up by N1.390 trillion from May 2025. However, VAT earnings declined to N678.165 billion, a N64.655 billion drop from the previous month.

Key revenue streams such as Company Income Tax (CIT), Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), and EMTL saw significant increases, while Oil & Gas Royalties, VAT, Import Duty, Excise Duty, and CET Levies recorded notable declines.
