Exposing the Web of Deceit Against Senate President Akpabio, Barrister Ubani Monday Onyekachi

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗴𝗯𝗲𝗸𝗲’𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗺𝗯𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹: Exposing the Web of Deceit Against Senate President Akpabio.

The revelations made by Dr. Sandra Duru, popularly known as Prof Mgbeke, during her live broadcast on Facebook last night 1st of May, 2025 has shaken the very foundations of a long-running narrative against Senate President Godswill Akpabio Her exposé unmasked what appears to be a calculated and malicious campaign of defamation orchestrated by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Recall that Senator Natasha was suspended from the Senate over grossly unparliamentary behaviour. Barely 24 hours after her suspension, she appeared on Arise TV, alleging that Senator Akpabio had sexually harassed her. The alleged incident, she claimed, took place on December 8, 2023, in Senator Akpabio’s residence, supposedly in the presence of her husband.

However, this claim raised eyebrows, especially among those familiar with the actual events of that day. More than fifteen senators, including Senator Akpabio’s wife and children, were in the same house celebrating his birthday. The timeline and logistics simply didn’t add up.

Despite the glaring inconsistencies, a segment of the public, hungry for sensationalism and clouded by bias, quickly turned against Senator Akpabio. Even when his wife, Mrs. Unoma Akpabio, who is known for her quiet demeanour, took the unprecedented step of addressing a press conference and filing a lawsuit. She was met with insults and scorn from misinformed Nigerians.

Many of us who watched these events unfold suspected a deeper, more sinister agenda. The intensity of the propaganda and the deliberate attempt to internationalize the falsehood pointed to both internal and external sponsorship. But who were the faces behind the curtain? Who were the local and foreign actors engineering this smear campaign?

Then came Prof Mgbeke, a truth-seeker initially recruited into the campaign against Senator Akpabio. However, guided by integrity and reason, she demanded evidence before continuing the demolition job. To her shock, none was presented. Instead, she was told the campaign was part of a broader effort to bring down the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with Senator Natasha allegedly eyeing political rewards such as the Kogi governorship or even a ministerial position.

Refusing to be a tool of destruction, Prof. Mgbeke chose truth over propaganda. She launched her own investigations and unearthed damning evidence. According to her, what she revealed during the broadcast was merely 7% of what she has amassed,  and that was enough to dismantle the lies beyond repair. The rest, she promises, is yet to come.

Prof Mgbeke’s courage and transparency deserve applause. She is a beacon in a time of darkness, a voice of reason amid chaos. Her kind will never be lacking in any nation where truth still matters.

As for Senator Natasha, whose pattern of manipulation, character assassination, and political ambition has now been exposed, history will record her as one of the most brazen weaponizers of gender for personal gain. Her eventual disgrace is inevitable.

Let the truth be documented. Let the evidence be shared. And may all manipulators be unmasked in due time.
