The ongoing feud between Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has taken a dramatic turn, with the latter leveling shocking allegations of sexual harassment against Akpabio during an explosive interview on Arise TV.

The rift between the two lawmakers first came to light last week following a heated argument over seating arrangements in the Senate chamber. Natasha had accused Akpabio of attempting to silence her, a claim she repeated in an earlier interview with Brekete Radio’s Ordinary President. However, during her latest interview on Friday, February 28, 2025, she escalated her accusations, alleging that Akpabio sexually harassed her during a visit to his country home in Akwa Ibom on December 8, 2024.

Natasha recounted that she and her husband had visited Akpabio’s residence a day before her birthday. She claimed that during the visit, Akpabio held her hand and led her around the house while her husband followed behind. According to her, Akpabio asked if she liked the house, and when she responded positively, he allegedly suggested they should visit the property alone at another time to “have a good time together.”

She later confided in her husband about the incident after he questioned her about Akpabio’s remarks.

In addition to the harassment allegations, Natasha accused Akpabio of obstructing her efforts to push for an investigation into the Ajaokuta Steel Company.

She revealed that she had listed the motion for debate five times before it was finally considered on the sixth attempt.

She further claimed that when she met with Akpabio in his office to emphasize the importance of the motion, he made a suggestive comment, stating, “Natasha, I’m the chief presiding officer of the Senate. You can enjoy a whole lot if you take care of me.”

Natasha also alleged that Akpabio deliberately walked out of the Senate chamber when her motion was eventually presented for discussion.

The interview has sparked widespread attention, with many awaiting Akpabio’s response to the allegations. As tensions between the two senators continue to escalate, the unfolding drama is expected to reveal more details in the days to come.
