In her swift reaction to her sack from the cabinet of President Bola Tinubu, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, the former Minister of Youth Development, immediately restricted access to her Twitter account.

This was shortly after the announcement of her removal, which formed part of a major cabinet reshuffle.

Ibrahim’s account had previously been open to the public, but immediately the announcement was made, it was restricted.

This is possibly to safeguard her privacy and limit unsolicited comments.

However, indications are that there was jubilation at the Ministry of Youth Development over the removal of Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim.

Members of staff of the ministry were said be happy and excited, shouting and bursting balloons to show their joy on the new development.

Meanwhile, Ayodele Olawande, who served as the Minister of State for Youth Development, has been promoted to replace Ibrahim as the substantive in the ministry.

President Tinubu’s cabinet reshuffle, announced on Wednesday, saw the dismissal of six key ministers, marking a significant shake-up in his administration. Those relieved of their duties include:

Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction

Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, Minister of Labour and Employment

Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Minister of State, Foreign Affairs

Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment

Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Minister of Livestock Development

Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development

Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad, Minister of State, Education

Also, 10 ministers were reassigned, inluding Olawande, in a bid by President Tinubu to streamline his government’s operations and inject fresh energy into key ministries.
