Ex-Benue Gov Ortom in EFCC custody

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is keeping for Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, following his invitation by the commission on Tuesday.

Ortom was said to have arrived at the Makurdi zonal office of the anti-graft agency, located at Alor Gordon Street, on Tuesday morning.

It was gathered that the former governor was invited to be questioned concerning an ongoing investigation into alleged financial misappropriation during his tenure in office.

The spokesperson for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren could not be reached concerning the development as at the time of filling this report.
