Eric Ten Hag glows about Manchester United’s transitional phase, says a lot have happened
Eric Ten Hag (ETH) said a lot have happened in the last eight months of transitional phase of Manchester United under the guidance of its co-owner, Sir James Ratcliffe.
Ten Hag, who spoke with the media, insisted that nobody can deny that a lot has happened to the club in the last eight or nine months.
He stated that at Manchester United, there’s a new leadership team, a new structure and ownership structure, a new leadership team saddled with the responsibility to move the club forward.
“In football you have to win, you have to deliver, that’s clear.
“It’s good that the new leadership acknowledges this and says this.
“We are working together to be more successful and we have higher targets than we’ve already achieved.
“Transition period? It’s not only to do with me. Nobody can deny in these last eight or nine months a lot has happened to this club. There’s a new leadership team, a new structure and ownership structure, a new leadership team,” he said.
He also expressed joy about new signing Matthijs de Ligt playing for Manchester United after he moved to the EPL from German top-flight club Bayern Munich.
“You will see the real Matthijs de Ligt soon. He had a very difficult pre-season because he didn’t play”. “His only start was the last game against Liverpool”. “He’s not in a rhythm yet, but once he’s up to full speed, you will see a different quality,” he said.
