EPL: Man United defeat Leeds United 2-0 at away game

Manchester United defeated Leeds United 0-2 at home on Sunday in.a Premier League match.
Although it wasn’t their best performance by a long way, but Man United had David de Gea to thank for keeping them in the game.
Marcus Rashford scored the opener in the last ten minutes as he connected with Luke Shaw’s excellent cross from the left before substitute Alejandro Garnacho was played through by Wout Weghorst and he made no mistake.
Leeds were good value for something from the game and must take the positives into their next match.
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea told Sky Sports: “I think we deserved to win the home game, but today, we played a great game.
“We knew if we could keep a clean sheet, we would win.
“We fought until the end. Players like H (Harry Maguire) have not been playing as much, but he was fantastic, so that means the team is strong and we are really, really happy.”
That was a big win for the Red Devils and you can tell how much it meant to them at the end of the game.
Joint statement from both clubs just released stated that, “Both clubs strongly condemn chanting from both sets of fans re historic tragedies at today’s game.
“Behaviour is completely unacceptable. We will continue to work together with respective fan groups, PL + other authorities to eradicate it.”
There goes the full-time whistle and the Red Devils have claimed the three points!
It certainly wasn’t their best performance but they will 100% take the win.
Goals from Rashford and Garnacho sealed the victory but they had De Gea to thank for keeping them in the game.
