Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, declined to comment on referee Craig Pawson’s performance in their Premier League 0-0 draw with Newcastle United on Sunday, insisting that everyone has seen it.

Ten Hag watched as Man United played a goalless draw with Newcastle at Old Trafford.

During the encounter, Pawson turned down penalty appeals from both teams.

He denied Man United a goal when forward Cristiano Ronaldo intercepted the ball when it was stationary, believing it to be in play.

The referee also rejected appeals for a penalty from Callum Wilson in the first half and Jadon Sancho in the second.

However, after the game, Ten Hag approached Pawson at full-time but refused to disclose what he said to the official.

Speaking at his post-match press conference, Ten Hag said, “I don’t have a comment, everyone has seen it. You can try [asking], but everyone has seen the game.

“Everyone has seen the game and it is your job to judge the performance from the team and from the referees. Not me, I will not do it.”
