Embattled ex-Gov Yahaya Bello finally answers EFCC's invitation

The former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has finally answered the invitation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of misappropriation of funds.

Ex-Governor Bello, who was accompanied by his legal team, was at the EFCC office on Tuesday morning, driving himself in a black Hilux.

A statement by his media aide said Bello’s appearance follows the recent Supreme Court judgment that dismissed states’ challenges regarding the constitutionality of the anti-graft agency.

At the prior hearing on November 14, the EFCC had sought an adjournment until November 27, noting that the 30-day summons window issued in the case was still active.
