Ekiti Assembly confirms appointment of Executive Secretary, Deputy Clerk
Mr Francis Tolulope Afolabi has been confirmed by Ekiti State House of Assembly as the Executive Secretary of the Assembly Commission.
Before his new appointment, Afolabi was the Director of Information Services of the House.
The Assembly also confirmed the appointment of Titilope Agbede as Deputy Clerk, Legislative Service.
The approval during plenary on Tuesday followed a motion moved by the Leader of Business, Johnson Oyekola Bode-Adeoye and seconded by the Chief Whip, Adeoye Aribasoye, stating the need to fill the vacant positions.
In their contributions, the lawmakers unanimously supported the motion for the confirmation based on the nominees’ capacity, experience, and ability to deliver, having worked with them for over three years.
In her address, the Speaker, Olubunmi Adelugba charged the appointees to ensure they deliver on the mandate given to them.
