Dilapidated storey building collapses in Ogun school
A one-storey building has collapsed at the Agbado District Comprehensive High School in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State on Saturday
The building, with 10 blocks of classrooms in the school, collapsed during heavy rainfall
Eyewitnesses said they were happy that the incident happened at the weekend pupils and teachers were not in session.
However, the eyewitnesses said the incident was “a calamity waiting to happen,” saying government had ignored distress calls over the dilapidating state of the building.
The collapsed building had been a cause for concern for over 15 years as it posed a serious threat to the lives of students and staff.
