Davido showers $10,000 on Mary Ngozi, Eko Hotels staff who returned $70,000 to customer

The life of Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, who returned a misplaced $70,000 to a customer of Eko Hotels in Lagos may have changed positively forever as popular musician, David Adeleke, known as Davido, has pledged $10,000 to her.

In a post via his verified Twitter handle on Sunday, the Afrobeat superstar wrote “Find her for me … I donate $10k”.

Ngozi Mary has been praised by many Nigerians on social media for returning $70,000 (over ₦55 million) to a customer in a Lagos hotel.

Earlier, Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party LP, had issued a statement celebrating Ngozi Mary for her act, saying it was heartwarming and reassuring that she did the act despite the hardship in the country and the prevailing moral decadence in society.

Obi also recommended her for national honour.
