Court sentences two to die by hanging in Ekiti

One Kazeem Olafisoye and Owolabi Usman have been sentenced to death by hanging for conspiracy and armed robbery and life imprisonment for attempted murder.
The two convicts were charged and arraigned before Justice Adekunle Adeleye of Ekiti State High Court in Ado Ekiti on a three-count charge.
The convicts and one other, now at large, were said to have robbed one Odo Charity and her household of ₦40,000 at gun point and attempted to murder Ugwe Ebuka by macheting him at Ekute, Ado Ekiti.
The first convict was overpowered by good Samaritans in the neighbourhood, whilst the other gang members ran away.
The Director of Public Prosecutions, Julius Ajibare, who led the prosecution team, called four witnesses and tendered five exhibits to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt.
Also, L.A. Fasanmi represented the 1st convict while the 2nd convict was represented by Adeyinka Opake.
