A permanent injunction barring Aminu Ado Bayero and four other dethroned Emirs from Bichi, Rano, Gaya, and Karaye from presenting themselves as Emirs has been granted by a Kano State High Court.

The court, led by Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu, issued the injunction on Monday, in Kano.

The judgment also prohibits the 15th Emir of Kano and the four other Emirs, along with their servants, associates, and appointees, from claiming the titles of Emirs of Kano, Bichi, Gaya, Rano, and Karaye.

Indeed, the ruling came after the Kano State government filed a case requesting the court to stop Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, and the four Emirs of Karaye, Bichi, Rano, and Gaya from presenting themselves as Emirs.

The government also gave the deposed Emirs 48 hours to vacate their respective palaces.
