Community Shield: Big loss as injury keeps Man City’s De Bruyne won’t be available against Arsenal
Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne will be out of service at the beginning of the season because of a hamstring tear during the 1-0 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League final.
De Bruyne was forced off the pitch in the first half in Istanbul.
And it seems the Belgian’s injury was a serious one, as the Daily Star reports that he will not be fit in time for the new campaign.
De Bruyne is believed to have suffered a Grade 3 hamstring tear.
The injury will see him miss the Community Shield clash against Arsenal.
He is also set to miss City’s first Premier League game against Burnley at Turf Moor.
