Chelsea move to sign new goalkeeper to compete with Robert Sanchez
English Premier League side, Chelsea, are considering signing a new goalkeeper next season to serve as competition for Spanish goaltender Robert Sanchez.
A report by ‘The Telegraph‘ disclosed that Chelsea will try to recruit a new goalkeeper to compete with Sanchez for the first-choice position, with Djordje Petrovic’s future uncertain.
Real Madrid’s Andriy Lunin was on the board’s radar for a while but his characteristics do not match what the new manager is looking for in a goalkeeper despite earlier links with Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
All these are happening after the new coach of Chelsea FC, Enzo Maresca, was hired, who assured fans to trust in his process and ideas for the upcoming season.
Maresca, who spoke with BBC Sport, expressed his happiness at being the club’s coach and promised fans an enjoyable journey.
The former Leicester City manager took over as Chelsea’s coach because he believed in the team’s talent.
