CAF Player of the Year Award, I want to win for family – Ademola Lookman
Ademola Lookman has said he would want to win the 2024 CAF Player of the Year award for family.
Super Eagles and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman is the favourite for the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award for his football exploits in club and for nation.
Lookman said it would be amazing and he would flattered, but he is not letting the pressure get into him.
Ademola Lookma, 27, is one of 10 nominees, and his impressive performances for club and country have made him a top contender.
However, he said he remained focused on his football career, as “I don’t think I am feeling additional pressure.”
According to him, “I think I have kept the same mindset; I have kept the same work ethic. I am just trying to do my best, do my best on the pitch.
“I think I try to improve every single day, and you know if I can win the award, it would be special most definitely for me, my family, my people, my country,
“But that’s the future. The future will come. Now, I need to focus on doing my best.”
Lookman has been consistent in his performance for his Italian Serie A Atalanta foottball club, which won the Europa League in 2024.
