Arteta hugs Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka seals Arsenal’s place in Champions League Final with win over Atlético Madrid

Bukayo Saka scored the only goal of the night as Arsenal beat Atlético Madrid to reach their second Champions League final on Tuesday.

After a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Madrid, both sides entered the return fixture with high hopes, but it was Arsenal who ultimately prevailed.

In the 44th minute, Jan Oblak failed to hold Leandro Trossard’s shot, allowing Saka to slot home the rebound.

The victory sends Arsenal to Budapest, where they will face either Bayern Munich or defending champions PSG in the final on May 30.

Arsenal’s sole previous Champions League final appearance came in 2006, when they lost to Barcelona.
