Buhari Was an “Angel in Human Flesh,” Says APC Pioneer Chairman Akande

Chief Bisi Akande, the founding National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former governor of Osun State, has eulogized the late former President Muhammadu Buhari as an extraordinary leader who left a permanent mark on Nigeria.

Leading a delegation on a condolence visit to the Buhari family in Kaduna, Akande expressed profound sorrow, describing the former president as “an angel in human flesh.”

“He was a great Nigerian. He was patriotic. Maybe he was an angel coming in human flesh and he had done his bit. He had passed,” Akande stated.

Reflecting on his final meeting with Buhari in Daura, Katsina State, Akande recalled that the former president appeared to be in good health and spirits.

“We had a nice time together. He was looking robust, he was healthy, very strong,” he recounted, expressing his shock at the sudden passing. He characterized the loss as “Very painful, very, very painful.”

Akande emphasized that paying his respects was his first priority upon returning to Nigeria from abroad.

He praised Buhari as a rare patriot whose legacy and contributions to nation-building would be remembered long after his death.
