Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has extended warm birthday wishes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, praising their enduring political and personal relationship.

In a telephone conversation at the weekend, Buhari expressed his heartfelt prayers for Tinubu’s long life, good health, and a successful tenure in office.

Reflecting on their long-standing partnership, Buhari acknowledged Tinubu’s pivotal role in forming the All Progressives Congress (APC), which paved the way for Buhari’s presidential victories in 2015 and 2019 after previous attempts.

He emphasized that Nigeria’s history would be incomplete without recognizing Tinubu’s contributions as a political strategist, activist, and democrat.

“I am proud of our association,” Buhari stated, stressing the importance of unity in leadership and collective responsibility for Nigeria’s progress.

He also commended the APC’s vision, particularly its 2015 mandate to build a more prosperous nation for all Nigerians, especially the underprivileged—a vision he believes continues under Tinubu’s leadership.

Buhari concluded by wishing the president, his family, and the nation a blessed Eid-el-Fitr celebration as Ramadan draws to a close.
