Charter Bill: IoD acknowledges passage to Law, commends Buhari, NASS
The Department of the State Service, DSS, are said to have stormed the Lagos office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, preventing the officers from gaining access to their office in Ikoyi, Lagos.
One of the EFCC officers said, “We came to the office this morning (Tuesday) to meet the office gate block by men of the DSS.”
However, spokesman of the DSS, Peter Afunanya, did not respond to calls put through to him for comments on the matter.
Also, the EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, was yet to respond to phone call.
But investigation showed that both agencies have been at loggerheads with each other over the ownership of the building.
As of the time of writing this report, all the EFCC officials at the office on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, were still prevented from accessing the building by DSS officials.
