There is a major twist in the ongoing presidential primaries of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, as the Sokoto State Governor and an aspirant, Aminu Tambuwal, steps down for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

This is in line with series of meetings saud to have been overnight to strengthen the North and ensure that a southern candidate does not emerge.
