Boss Mustapha Denies ADC, Opposition Alliance Links, Reaffirms Loyalty to APC

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has refuted reports associating him with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) or any opposition coalition, labeling the claims as false.

In a statement on Saturday, Mustapha categorically denied any involvement with the ADC or opposition groups, emphasizing that he has not engaged in discussions with such parties.

“I am not part of any opposition alliance, nor have I held talks with those behind it,” he stated.

Reflecting on his political history, Mustapha highlighted his key role in the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC). As the Deputy National Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN)—the largest party in the merger with six governors at the time—he described himself as one of the APC’s founding figures.

“It would be unreasonable for me to abandon a party I helped establish,” he asserted.

Reaffirming his dedication to the APC, Mustapha urged party members to resolve internal issues within the fold rather than defecting.

“Every party faces challenges, and ours is no exception. The solution lies in staying to fix them, not jumping to another party,” he added.

Mustapha served as SGF from 2017 to 2023 under the APC-led administration.
