Betta Edu: Shehu Sani hails Tinubu over swift action, says Buhari would have reacted differently
Former Kaduna senator, Shehu Sani, who has hailed President Bola Tinubu over his swift reaction immediately suspending indicted Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
Edu was indicted over N585.2 million transfer into private account and she has been invited by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, after her suspension.
Indeed, Tinubu announced Ms Edu’s sack in a statement by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, on Monday.
Sani, in a tweet via his X (Twitter) handle, lauded Tinubu’s swift response to the matter.
Comparing Tinubu with former President Buhari, he said the former president might have reacted to the allegation a little differently.
“This President has listened to the public and acted against his Minister.If it’s the former President he will just ASHUWA [assure] you,” Sani tweeted.
Indeed, former President Buhari has been accused of shielding corrupt individuals during his eight years in office.
