BBNaija Transformed Our Lives and Careers – Ex-Housemates Bisola, Mercy, Ebuka, Others Reveal
Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemates said the reality show dramatically transformed their lives and careers, propelling them to fame and success.
The ex-housemates, including Bisola Aiyeola, Mercy Eke, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, and others, shared their experiences during a recent interview in Lagos.
Bisola Aiyeola, now a renowned actress, revealed that while she was confident in her talent and destined for success, BBNaija accelerated her rise to stardom.
“Big Brother Naija escalated the success I knew I would achieve, but the show took it a zillion steps faster,” she said.
Mercy Eke, the 2019 winner, credited the show with reshaping her entire life. “lBBNaija changed me, my brand, and my whole existence. You can see the proof right here,” she stated.
Ebuka, the show’s iconic host, admitted that his career in television wouldn’t have existed without BBNaija.
“The show made me a TV presenter. I was a lawyer with no plans for media, but Big Brother revealed my potential in hosting. Without it, I wouldn’t be in TV today,” he said.
Other ex-housemates also shared their success stories. Actor Elozonam noted that the show elevated his brand, while Gideon Okeke joked, “BBNaija brought me out to the world—otherwise, I’d still be in the ghetto.”
TV host KimOprah described the show as an “amazing platform,” and podcaster Adekunle acknowledged that it gave him massive visibility. Meanwhile, singer Laycon, a former winner, said the show “took my music career off the roof.”
The overwhelming consensus is that Big Brother Naija remains a life-changing platform that continues to launch stars into the limelight.
