MultiChoice Nigeria has announced that the tenth season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) will debut with a two-day premiere on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, 2025. The upcoming edition promises heightened excitement, with the winner taking home a historic ₦150 million —the biggest cash prize in the show’s 19-year history.
Veteran host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return to guide viewers through the 10-week spectacle of drama, strategy, and entertainment, culminating in the grand finale on October 5, 2025.
Busola Tejumola, MultiChoice’s Executive Head of General Entertainment, described Season 10 as “a celebration of legacy,” though the official theme remains under wraps until the premiere.
Prospective housemates underwent rigorous screening, beginning with online registrations (May 3–7) followed by physical auditions in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu (May 16–18). Organizers emphasized selecting Nigeria’s most dynamic and entertaining personalities for the new season.
BBNaija by the numbers showed a line-up of 197 housemates across nine seasons, ₦637 million total prize money awarded, 709 days of non-stop broadcast entertainment.
Recapping the features of Season 9 – last season’s “No Loose Guard” showed that the edition introduced a pairing twist, where contestants entered as duos before competing individually. Kellyrae emerged victorious, claiming ₦100 million and becoming the first married winner in BBNaija history. Other standout housemates included Wanni X Handi, the Mbadiwe twins, Onyeka, Nelly, and Shaun.
The premiere slated for July 26 will show at 7 PM WAT on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Family, and Showmax; 24/7 Live Feed: DStv (Ch. 198), GOtv (Ch. 49), and Showmax, Mobile Streaming: DStv & GOtv apps (Google Play & iOS App Stores), Weekly Evictions: Sundays on the same platforms.
With heightened anticipation, BBNaija Season 10 is poised to deliver another unforgettable chapter in Africa’s biggest reality TV phenomenon.
