Arsenal ready to double Gabriel Jesus’ pay to lure him from Man City
Arsenal are set to double Gabriel Jesus’ wages at Manchester City, as they try to lure him to the Emirates, the UK Sun reports.
The Brazil international has been linked with a move away from the Etihad this summer following Erling Haaland’s arrival.
City are ready to speak to Jesus’ agents in the coming days while the striker is on international duty.
But the Gunners have made Jesus their top priority this summer, having waved goodbye to both strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in 2022.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is believed to have had a great working relationship with the 25-year-old from his time as assistant boss at the Etihad and both parties are reportedly keen on a deal.
Arsenal have already held initial discussions with his agent Marcelo Pettinati but have since enhanced their offer following interest from other European clubs.
