Conte, however, said he is not unaware that there is already an agreement between the player and Napoli regarding his future.

According to him, the agreement between Victor and Napoli on his future makes the striker’s case different compared to other players.

He stated that, “I’m aware of his situation, I know there’s an agreement with the club so it’s a different case compared to others.

“There’s a pact between Victor and Napoli on his future and I accepted that”.

Conte said, refering to a post on X by Farizio Romano, ‘‘Osimhen, expected to leave this summer.’’

Conte spoke after Napoli lowered the asking price for Osimhen, initially put at €130 million (£110.8 million) by club President Aurelio de Laurentiis.

The former Serie A champions may now be willing to drop that initial assessment to €100M, according to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, via Football Italia.

This is to free up much-needed transfer cash for new manager Antonio Conte who seeks to restore the pride of the Italian side that won the Scudetto two seasons ago.
