ALL AFRICAN GAMES: Flying Eagles back on track after 1-0 win against South Sudan

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria got their campaign at the ongoing 2023 All-African Games back on track following their hard-fought win against South Sudan.
The coach Ladan Bosso’s tutored side emerged victorious against South Sudan via a lone goal scored by Sadiq Isiyaka who converted a second-half penalty to secure the win.
The U-20 team will now aim to qualify for the next round as they prepare to take on Senegal in their last Group B game on Friday knowing that a win or draw will be enough to keep the team in the competition.
Uganda defeated Senegal 1-0 in their second game on Monday to secure a spot in the semi-finals of the men’s football event at the ongoing All-African Games.
Recall that the Nigerian U-20 team narrowly lost their first match 1-2 to Uganda at the Accra Sports Stadium last Thursday night, with the team now redeeming itself with the win against South Sudan.
