AFCON: Tinubu Storms Abidjan Sunday to cheer Super Eagles

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is due for Cote d’Ivoire to watch the final of the African Cup of Nations, AFCON, tournament between Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday.

The President of Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, stated this at a media parley in Abidjan.

Motsepe was asked during his press conference on Friday at the Palace de la culture, Trechville, Abidjan when can Africa host the World Cup again.

He said, “Nigeria must put in a bid. The Nigerian President (Bola Tinubu) is coming to watch the final on Sunday. I will have a conversation with him about it.”

Indeed, Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima was in attendance during the Super Eagles against Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
