Rwanda coach, Torsten Frank Spittler, admitted that the Super Eagles are world class, identufying the team’s frontline players for praise.

The Super Eagles played a barren draw on Tuesday in Kigali with Rwandan national team in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier.

The Rwandan coach, Spittler, insisted the Super Eagles forwards were world-class, admitting that they outclassed Rwanda strikers.

Indeed, the Super Eagles forwards that featured against Rwanda at the Stade Amahoro in Kigali are: Victor Boniface, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon.

The Super Eagles coach, Augustine Eguavoen, made just only one change from the squad that started against the Cheetahs, with Fisayo Dele-Bashiru taking the place of Alex Iwobi in the clash with Rwanda.

According to him, the Super Eagles created many chances during the encounter but Rwanda were rescued by the heroics of goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari, who made several crucial saves.

Spittler, however, stressed: “Everybody could see this Nigerian team, especially the forward line is world-class, and we also had a few chances where you could see the difference between our strikers and their strikers.”
