AFCON qualifier: Osimhen arrives to full house of Super Eagles camp
Nigerian international striker, Victor Osimhen, has arrived the Super Eagles camp in Uyo from his new base in Turkey.
His arrival has immediately boost the camp with all invited players in the camp ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers this weekend.
Osimhen would appear to be the last player to join the team and this could be understood as he just emerged from his transfer saga at Napoli football club on Italy.
Osimhen, 25, had been in Turkey where he was completing his loan move to Galatasaray following his inability to get a favourable transfer deal.
Osimhen took part in the team’s evening training session, and is now in contention to start the game against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic on Saturday.
Caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen now has the full compliment of all 23 invited players in camp.
The Super Eagles will hold their final training session ahead of the game on Friday.
