Abuja looted warehouse not ours, NEMA debunks media reports

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said looted warehouse in Abuja on Sunday does not belong to them as being circulated in the media.was looted by some hoodlums in Abuja on Sunday.
A statement by NEMA spokesperson, Manzo Ezekiel, confirmed that the looted warehouse does not belong to the agency.
NEMA, however, stated that it sympathised with the owners of the looted facility.
Indeed, some residents of Abuja raided and looted a warehouse facility in Abuja.
Indications are now that the facility belongs to the Federal Capital Territory’s Department of Agriculture, as confirmed by FCT Agric secretariat’s Public Relations Officer, Zakari Aliyu.
Although, he failed to disclose further details on the looted warehouse.
For NEMA, it stated that it has taken measures to safeguard its facilities nationwide.
“To forestall any security breach at NEMA facilities, the Director General Mustapha Habib Ahmed has directed Zonal Directors and Heads of Operations to strengthen security in and around the Agency’s offices and warehouses nationwide,” NEMA said.
