In 2014, while working with The New Telegraph Newspapers, she won the Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting, Print category, and the overall prize that year with her story: Extra-Judicial Killings In SARS.
The award automatically made her become the first female overall winner of the coveted Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting.

Similarly, at the 30th edition of the Nigeria Media Merit Awards (NMMA) 2022, she won the Female Reporter Category.
She also emerged as one of the runners-up in the Education Category. Juliana Ebere Francis is living proof that in journalism, there is recognition and reward for hard work.
She loves pursuing stories that have to do with human rights abuses, a quest for justice, and promoting issues that have to do with sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), women, children, and society.
She sincerely believes that the pen is mightier than the sword and that journalists are the ‘voice for the voiceless,’ and as such, journalists must not get tired of writing, to correct the ills in the society.
Juliana Francis Ebere was part of the 2017 inaugural edition of The Report Women! Female Reporters Leadership Programme (FRLP), which she said was an eye-opener for her.
The result of the training is that she now mentors young journalists, especially undergraduates studying Mass Communication.
The training has made her become more intentional about the kinds of reports she writes, but her fixation as most people know is stories bordering on human rights violation issues.
In 2018, she was one of the speakers at The African Investigative Journalism Conference, at Wits University in South Africa, where she spoke on: The Big Business Of Human Smuggling/Trafficking And The Challenges Of Being A Woman Investigative Journalist.

She is easily attracted to people who care about humanity.
Juliana loves reading, listening to music, writing, carrying out investigative reports, and watching cartoons with her children.
